Solstizio | 2024

This work is born from the encounter between elements of different natures: the cold surface of a gray, peeling, and rusted metal sheet, and the traces of a fire, with ash and charred branches on the ground. The title refers to the contrast between the cold tones of the metal and the chromatic warmth of the rust and combustion residues, evoking that threshold moment between opposites that characterizes the solstice. Through the composition of these two shots, industrial matter and organic residue merge into a single visual structure. It is an investigation into time and the elements that consume and transform matter, where frost and fire seem to touch and find a final balance.

Quest'opera nasce dall'incontro tra elementi di natura diversa: la superficie fredda di una lamiera grigia, scrostata e arrugginita, e le tracce di un incendio, con cenere e rami carbonizzati sul terreno. Il titolo si riferisce al contrasto tra i toni freddi del metallo e il calore cromatico della ruggine e dei residui della combustione, evocando quel momento di soglia tra opposti che caratterizza il solstizio. Attraverso la composizione di questi due scatti, la materia industriale e il residuo organico si fondono in un'unica struttura visiva. È un'indagine sul tempo e sugli elementi che consumano e trasformano la materia, dove il gelo e il fuoco sembrano toccarsi e trovare un equilibrio finale.
