Syke è l’Amadriade del ficus, nella mitologia classica le Amadriadi, (in greco antico: Ἁμαδρυάδες, Hamadryádes; da Hama e Drys, "coesistente con gli alberi"), fanno parte di una particolare categoria di ninfe protettrici dei boschi, legate in modo talmente viscerale al destino del proprio albero al punto di nascere e morire con esso.
Syke is the Hamadryas of the ficus, in classical mythology the Hamadryads, (in ancient Greek: Ἁμαδρυάδες, Hamadryádes; from Hama and Drys, "coexistent with trees"), are part of a particular category of nymphs protectors of the woods, linked in such a visceral way to the fate of their own tree to the point of borning and dying with it.
